While I primarily only use this location as a ‘landing pad’ of sorts for my exotic animals, I am glad this location is somewhat close to a readily accessible highway. Usually a simple drive, singing for packages, and leaving.
However, I recently had an issue with one box animals I was receiving being placed on an unknown route. Apparently they were then left on the truck overnight in the cold, long enough for the heat pack to expire and leave the animals to slowly experience the almost 40° F temperatures in the truck. The box had “LIVE ANIMALS” listed all over, and so I find this wildly unacceptable.
However, I am giving a rating as high as I am because Misty, the lady that helped me with this shipment, stayed in contact while trying to resolve this issue, letting me know when I could make the hour long trip to the hub. She allowed me to ensure that everything was okay for the animals before I left. It is very refreshing to have people at FedEx hubs that do care about their customers’ packages, even if there are those in the same company that clearly don’t.
Thanks to Misty, my animals are slowly recovering and are alive.
