Lady behind the counter is a nasty thing. Like she is doing you a favor to make your sandwich. 12:35 pm Aug 15th 2026. She will cost you business!
Never seen a dude get his panties so tightly pulled up into a wad over having to make a few sandwiches. It was 8:30 and I think the guy was trying to close early (they closed at 9:00) and we interrupted him. Not sure what the guy's name was, but it was a short little Hispanic guy, and I really wish I'd gotten to know the guy, because he seems like the kind of guy you want to hang out with later..
For starters he almost cried because we didn't notice the sign at the drive thru telling you to pull up to the window because their speaker doesn't work. The guy dribbled on for so long about everyone who has ever come to his store that doesn't see his precious sign. I was almost tempted to remind him that he was trying to close early so he would move on. Then the guy is RUFFLED that we have to ask him about things on the menu because, surprise, we had to drive up to the window.
The tension was so thick that we just want to order something easy so we can just get out of there. 3 identical sandwiches, and he told us it would take him 20 minutes to make them. Yikes. I mean I think you would have to actively TRY to take 20 minutes to make three identical sandwiches. I think he was just bitter at this point, and the panties were so far up there that he was literally choking on them. He must have remembered he was trying to close early because eventually he picked up the pace, finished making everything, and shoveled it out the window into our car.
So good luck to whoever visits here. If you want to know if it's him, just ask him if they have their raspberry cheesecake cookies there, and if the person you're talking to literally morphs into The Babadook because they "only serve the chocolate macadamia cookie at this location", then that's the guy. Of all the people I have ever known in the history of Subway, this guy was the second most offensive.

The one of the openers on August 9th was completely rude to myself and my friend. When we walked into the shop she was sweeping the counter and told us to wait so we waited. Once she took our orders she still had an attitude and was rude. When we asked for extra olives she said that a six inch only gets three olives. When we got to the till my friend had asked if she could use two coupons which she had received by a district manager. However once she saw these coupons said said that they were state specific which they are not and then we said that the fine print says participating restaurants only and she said back very rudely that they are not a participating restaurant. As this was my first time in Kanab I was very unhappy with the service and my friend and I will not be returning as this type of behavior from a customer standpoint is unacceptable given we are paying customers.
I came in with a group, we were traveling to Horshoe bend and stopped here. One of the individuals in our group was Korean, my mom is has Mexican roots. When we stepped up to order, I stated I wanted two 6 inch subs, and I asked for my bread. She asked what ham I wanted and I said Black Forest ham and she asked me will it be provolone cheese? I told her I wanted pepper jack and she then said so no provolone, but Black Forest sub has provolone. I told her I was building my sandwich, and she put pepper jack on without a word. The individual next to me had never been to subway, and spoke very little English while she put the bread in the oven he asked me to help him order. I pointed to the page that was on the counter that mentioned building your sub, and started telling him you start by choosing your bread etc. when I was doing that Corey, Cori interrupts and stated that I’m teaching him wrong. That we can only order the subs on the menu. I then told her that every subway we go to has a build a sub option. She said no again and the Korean individual then mentioned to just order what I had ordered to let it go. I told her then he would get a 6 inch sub just like mine. I then started to ask the Korean individual what veggies he wanted, it was a conversation I was having with him, since I didn’t know his language I wanted to be ready for when the next part of our sandwich came. BUT when I did that she yelled and said ma’am I know you want to get out of here in a hurry, but we have a system. He is the individual that puts the veggies, not me. Keep in mind I hadn’t communicated with her, I was communicating with the Korean individual since I didn’t speak his language and he didn’t speak mine. I told her ok. Then I got my veggies with another individual he was polite, I told her ok and we got to the register, at the register I collected my our 3 subs. When we started walking away the girl yelled, “hey you still have a sub” I told her I had only asked for 3 and she yelled once more saying I had asked for 4 subs. But I had clearly stated I am getting one for my mom, for myself and one for my Korean buddy. Our tour guide told her it was ok and looked at me and apologized. When we got to the van he apologized again for her behavior, was it racism it felt like it. Would I stop there once more, no. Max tours takes their guests there for lunch, I am of course mentioning to them not to do business with them and go elsewhere. It is sad to see this happen, our group had people from all over the world
