Absolutely bizarre and incredibly unprofessional experience.
We arrived about 15 minutes before closing because we needed to print something. We were having trouble getting the files to upload, and instead of offering any help or even politely letting us know they needed to close soon, one of the employees started walking around announcing “5 MINUTES!” and then “2 MINUTES!” while we were clearly trying to finish.
The second the clock hit 7:00, she came over and told us she had an “emergency” and needed to go to the ER, then proceeded to show us a rash/hives all over her arms. She repeatedly scratched her arms while telling us how itchy she was and that we needed to leave immediately.
We tried to leave — except she had literally locked us inside the building. We had to ask, “Are you going to let us out?” She then said, “Oh yes, yes, I am so itchy,” continued scratching her rash, and then touched the door handle to unlock the door and let us out.
So not only were we rushed out before we could finish what we came there to do, we were locked inside the store after closing while an employee was scratching visible hives/rash and telling us she needed to go to the hospital.
I completely understand that employees have closing times, and if someone is experiencing a genuine medical emergency, obviously they should seek medical care. But if the situation was urgent enough that we needed to be kicked out immediately, the store should have been properly cleared BEFORE the doors were locked. And if customers arrive during posted business hours, there is a professional way to communicate that you are closing without loudly counting down the minutes at them.
One of the strangest and most uncomfortable customer service experiences I’ve ever had. We will absolutely not be returning to this location.
