  I paid a premium for an automobile title to be delivered to my contact at US Customs for the Houston port on the next business day at 10am. This was in order for my shipping container, which housed my automobile, to be released by US Customs to travel on the ocean overseas. However, the document wasn't even delivered two business days later and my contact had to go to the Fed Ex delivery point himself in order to retrieve it. As a result, my container missed the shipping date at the port. This failure of Fed Ex was not only due to a lack of performance but to negligence. Note that I could have experienced this poor level of performance with the US Postal Service, which would have been a good bit less expensive.
