I love Subway sandwiches, but the experience I had today didn’t deserve even one star.
To the store manager: Please check your security cameras, including today at around 5:50 p.m. You may be surprised by what you find; not just from today, but from other days as well.
The employee preparing my order heated my sandwiches and then left them sitting on the counter getting cold while he helped another customer who was still deciding what she wanted and continued adding ingredients to her order. Instead of finishing my order first, he repeatedly stopped to assist other customers.
A few moments later, another young woman came in, and he immediately started preparing her sandwich as well. During all of this, he seemed far more interested in chatting with the two young women—almost as if he was flirting—than providing good customer service. Meanwhile, my sandwiches remained on the counter getting cold.
At one point, he looked directly at me, and I pointed to my sandwiches as if to say, “I’m still waiting.” He clearly saw me but chose to continue talking and serving the other customers.
After waiting long enough, I decided to leave without my order. As I walked out, I even heard one of the young women say, “You’re welcome.”
I don’t expect special treatment, but I do expect basic courtesy and for my order to be completed before it’s abandoned in favor of conversations with other customers. The lack of professionalism, respect, and attention to customers was extremely disappointing. I hope management reviews the security footage and addresses this type of behavior so other customers don’t have the same experience.
