Subway was and has always been one of my favorite places, and for me to be leaving this review is entirely out of character.
Today I went in after ordering online and felt 2 cold sandwiches that in the app said were supposed to be toasted. I sat in the store for a good 30 seconds while I checked to make sure I didn’t mess up, and when my app said toasted, I still decided to avoid conflict and left, thinking “well what if I just came late and they got cold”.
Upon arriving home not only was 1 sandwich cold and one wasn’t toasted at all, we ordered extra mayo and had NO mayo on one sandwich, and all of 2 DROPS of mayo on the other, and to add they added extra, unwanted ingredients (why make extra work?!!!) onto one of the sandwiches. We called and they offered to remake them.
Once arriving to the store I sent in my partner as I was frustrated and confused on why I needed to drive all the way back and am offered no compensation(again avoiding conflict), where my partner tells me they took his sandwich and just slapped mayo on it (which is entirely incorrect, and against FDA food code you can NOT take food back, and modify it then reserve it once it’s been in the possession of a customer MUCH LESS BIT OFF OF). they would not remake it because he “already took A BITE”. I’m sorry should we be overly inspecting our food before we eat?! No, you should do your job correctly and I should be able to trust that. To add, she argued that there was nothing wrong with either sandwich when they were completely wrong, mine having ham and no mayo which it didn’t have ham listed at all. She then started to remake my sandwich and didn’t toast it again after being offered a phone to read the message, and for him to guide her while making it which she refused. I then had to enter the store where she rushed to finish my order before I entered, and then told me she would only toast my new sandwich with all the veggies on, and not just simply make it how she was asked. I then told her 1 sandwich was free due to coupons and I’d like my refund for my sandwich which she refused. She continued to argue that she didn’t see toasted on the receipt where I told her the app says it in my recent orders several times, I also told her that the receipt also didn’t say ham yet they took it upon themselves to add an unwanted ingredient but they can’t simply toast my sandwich?!. She said my partner didn’t tell her (he did) and even if he didn’t it wouldn’t matter because when we called we told her BOTH sandwiched should be toasted. She chose to be argumentative, and disrespectful instead of doing her job. It’s not hard to read. If you cannot read singular words then you should not be working. I’m SEVERELY disappointed and I absolutely will not be eating at this location again without a change, and based on the reviews many others won’t be either.
I truly never leave reviews, but this has prompted me to not only leave a review, but if not handled I will be contacting elsewhere bc the food safety standards are 0 and that is HGHLY CONCERNING.
