Workers sitting behind counter and chatting. Clean atmosphere. Went through line had 3 subs made. Got to the cash register and handed the girl a $100 bill for a total of $28 and some change for 3 6in subs, chips, and drinks. The girl asked another if they had change. I was then told that between the Subway and TX Burger cash registers they did not have change therefore, they could not complete sale. I was advised they made all their deposits today and that is the reason they did not have enough change. (Sounds like very poor business management if you can't assist a customer with a $100 bill for an order.) They then placed the food on the back counter. I was told that they can run cards, if I had one. Luckily, I had a credit card that is for emergency use. However, this is absolutely an asinine concept to be one of the few options for restaurants in a small agricultural town and NOT be able to break a $100 bill to give $71 and change to a customer.
On another note, when did Subway start folding the meat into triangles so you get even less meat than before?
