  I am a widow of one year. I had to change my house and car insurance for the first time last spring. My husband had always done that and I was at a loss and kind of in a panic, as my insurance raised my rates to double. I couldn't afford this. So I checked with others and they too were way too high. A friend suggested I try Allstate. I called and was put at ease right away and was treated with kindness and patience. I changed both my car and house insurance to Allstate right then. I haven't had to make a claim, and hope I never do, but I know I will be treated well.
