  Quality staff, easy to find. Bath tub rusting in places not clearly made of metal, definitely needs some maintenance. As a person who prefers to sit and bathe, I find this important.

  Best western is nice as always but can I tell something… the front desk, RICHARD, was amazing!!! Think about someone that goes an extra mile to help you…. That’s Richard. I’ll make sure everyone from my company stays on this hotel when traveling around here.

  I don’t understand how this hotel isn’t rated at least a 4. We have stayed here twice now. Once a couple of years ago, then last night. It’s in a very convenient spot in Graham. It’s easy to get in and out of the parking lot as well. The parking lot isn’t too big, but we have never seen them super packed being a smaller town even on Memorial Day weekend. It’s very clean. The staff are friendly. Everything looks like it’s well kept, and there wasn’t any broken furniture, holes in walls, stains on sheets or bugs etc. Going off on that, our room was clean. We had a microwave, mini fridge, Keurig and the Samsung TV was nice. I believe it was a 40 inch. We also had a room with a single bed, but it was large enough to fit two.. The bathroom was clean, and at first look the shower seemed a little dated but as soon as I turned the water on, that water pressure was insane in a good way. This is actually the best hotel shower I have ever used and it’s nothing super fancy. Just hot water and water pressure that can knock you back like a power/pressure washer if you aren’t careful. It can also be adjusted. Also, the AC unit is adjustable to your preferred temp and it gets pretty cold. For the night owls, they have a pool open until 11pm. We didn’t get to swim, so I don’t have much to say about it. They also have a mini gym, but I didn’t check the hours. Check in is 3pm and check out is 12pm. We had a little hiccup in booking, but the staff were polite, willing to help and straight forward. There wasn’t a hassle fixing the issue. There are only a few things I wish that were different. I wish they had thicker blankets on the bed, especially when you are a cold person married to someone who runs hotter and has to have the AC turned down. I also did not see a vending machine on our floor, just an ice machine. Maybe I missed it, but if there’s not one that would be a useful change. You can still go down stairs and buy snacks at the front desk however. Also, the WiFi is very basic. The speeds we were pulling were 9mbps up and 4mbps down. It might be just enough to run a standard definition show or send an email. If you bring a game console/media device, the WIFI did not like our Xbox. It kept disconnecting. It will hook up to the TV just fine, however you have to use your hotspot for any streaming or games. Other than that, if we had to choose a place to stay in Graham this would be our 1st choice.

  My room smelled profusely of cigarette smoke, the front desk gave me a spray bottle with air freshener that I used for my two day stay. The window did not have a black out curtain attached, it was detached leaning against the wall. When maintenance arrived, he decided he could fix it best the next day, which he did. The shower curtain rod spring was broke, so they placed the rod above the shower wall ledge, which kept the curtain above the floor. This caused water spray from the shower to escape the shower and cover half the bathroom floor with large pools of water. Each shower I had to mop the water on the floor with towels. I asked for a repair of this curtain and over two days, it did not get resolved. This is a safety issue for the customer and unnecessary stress.

  We recently stayed here. Initially we were given a room that smelled of cigarettes. Then when asked we got another room (201) to be exact and learnt that the tub does not drain the water. When we approached the receptionist looks like she knew the problem and gave an excuse that they were about to remodel the bathrooms and the inclination of the tub is warped and once they get rid of the tub an make it shower only all will be well. There was nothing they can do till then. So we went back up and then came down and asked if we could change the room which they agreed at once. That room was ok. By now the bar was so low that when we got the room first thing we checked was the drainage. But the tub had rust seeping down. It was discolored and in a terrible condition. Crushed cigarette bud under the AC. BUT WE had no other option so we stayed here for six days. The staff most unfriendly. Breakfast is horrible. Roaches in the bedroom. This was our first time in BW. Usually we stay in holiday inn express Graham which is fabulous compared to this hole. We will never stay here again. From now on its holiday inn express all the way !!! The service in best western is ATROCIOUS ! Wish I could give 0 stars. But there is no option for that. Also what was shocking was they still let out the room 201 to other guests. If I was working here I would have blocked that room , till the issue was fixed. This was the worst experience. I highly recommend holiday inn express in Graham to this terrible place. Pls do not stay here until and unless they have fully renovated this whole place. It’s that bad. We had a roach on our shawl!!!
