  My wife’s car broke down literally right in front of this Advance Auto Parts location. It appeared to simply be a dead battery, so I walked inside thinking this was about the most convenient place possible to get the problem handled. I should have never needed to leave this store. Unfortunately, the employees showed almost no interest in helping me. Even getting someone to look up which battery the vehicle needed and whether they had one available seemed like an inconvenience. There was no sense of urgency, no attempt to help solve the problem, and very little effort put into what should have been a basic interaction at an auto parts store. Eventually, I gave up and went out of my way to cross the street and go to AutoZone. That made an already inconvenient situation more difficult than it ever needed to be. The contrast was incredible. At AutoZone, an employee named Thomas immediately helped me, looked up the correct battery, gave me multiple options, got me checked out in less than 10 minutes, and even let me borrow the tools needed to replace the battery. Within about 30 minutes, my wife was back on the road. That is exactly why this experience at Advance Auto Parts was so frustrating. The problem wasn’t complicated, and I wasn’t asking anyone to go above and beyond. I was simply asking for the basic level of assistance you would expect when walking into an auto parts store with a car broken down right outside. If you’re going to come to work every day and accept the money a business pays you, there should at least be an expectation that you do the job and make a reasonable effort to help the customers who walk through the door. Advance Auto Parts had my business handed to them because of where the car happened to break down, and their lack of interest sent me directly to their competitor. AutoZone earned a customer that day, and Advance Auto Parts lost one.

  Just giving a shoutout to the team working Sunday Evening. Saved me $30 on an in cabin air filter by offering a discontinued product that effectively works the same at a huge discount! I really appreciate the advice!

  I would like to say the effort and dedication to helping me get my headlights replaced and finding everything for my car by Hawk was outstanding! Hawk was understanding and efficient with my time and helped me understand the problem in a timely manner. I would recommend Hawk every-time!
