  Very poor customer service. I was trying to ship a computer box and request for a tape to tape the pre printed label on the box. An associate demanded $2 to use the tape. He was very rude and uncompromising

  I had arranged for a package to be shipped over night via UPS. I bought the label with the provided dimensions and weights and sent the label to the person that was going to ship the package to me. Reasoning is because I forgot the item and needed it with me that week. Lo and behold the item was placed in a package with a shipping diamond on the side that to the trained person means it cannot go on an aircraft. The person that was accepting the package should have known this and let the person shipping it know of this. But instead, they accepted the package and that was the start of the shipment of this package around the Houston area, when it was supposed to go across the state to Midland, TX. Did UPS try to do anything about it, not in the slightest. Instead it hung around Houston before being dropped right back off at the shipper's address in Cypress. Calls to UPS stated that it had a haz exemption. Calls to the Haz hotline stated that it had the diamond and couldn't be shipped on a plane. I stated that there was nothing that was hazardous in the package and it could go on a plane, they didn't care. Calls to the local store to figure out what was going to happen with my package was that it would be delivered to the local address. They couldn't even attempt a delivery by putting it on a truck across the state, at least I would have gotten it in Midland 3 days later. Instead the package to 4-5 days traversing the Houston area UPS docket and dropped off at the doorstep in Houston. So I am out the cost to overnight the package (>$250) and don't have the piece I needed that week. And while all of this could have been sorted by not shipping in a box with a restricted air travel diamond, it could have been assisted by the clerk acknowledging the diamond and informing the shipper to then have it corrected appropriately.

  Do not use notary services from this UPS store. Try other UPS stores nearby which offer a more reasonable rate than this guy. He charges 15$ to notarize just one ID document. State limits what a public notary can charge to 10$ max but allows independent shops to add their service charges - this shop exploits this loophole. Other UPS/Postal service shops charge significantly less than this guy!

  Be prepared for them to ask you several intrusive and uncomfortable questions just to ship a package. They make you give them your id, ask you what's inside, the specifics of that item, how much it's worth, why you're shipping, why didn't you just drive it there, etc. It made me afraid they were going to steal my item or have my pkg go "missing" like other reviewers have said. It's unprofessional line of questioning and i felt like it violated my privacy since i've had packages "go missing" before when i told ups what was inside. I moved here recently from the nyc so i am not sure if this is a southern thing or what? But usually when I ship in nyc, they ask you PROFESSIONAL questions like do you have any batteries, liquids, hazardous materials, if we want insurance, etc. BEWARE.
