I’ve been to this Subway before, and while it has never been my favorite location, this visit was by far the worst.
When I arrived, there was only one employee taking orders, and the line was nearly out the door. Eventually a second employee came out from the back, but she worked very slowly. It was confusing why she had stayed in the back so long when the restaurant was already overwhelmed with customers waiting.
The atmosphere inside was also unpleasant. One customer was so absorbed in a phone call that they didn’t realize an employee was trying to take their order. A group of high school students was loudly yelling across the restaurant, and another individual appeared to be walking around trying to engage everyone in conversations about religion rather than ordering food. The dining area felt chaotic and poorly managed.
The food itself was disappointing. They repeatedly skimped on the vegetables, to the point where I had to ask multiple times for more lettuce and other toppings. Lettuce is one of the least expensive ingredients, so serving only a few strands across an entire footlong sandwich felt unnecessarily cheap.
The checkout process was the final frustration. After my sandwich was finished, instead of ringing me up so I could leave, the employee started making sandwiches for the next several customers while I stood there waiting to pay. There was no reason to hold up a completed order while continuing to build everyone else’s.
Overall, the service was slow, the atmosphere was uncomfortable, and the food quality was poor. I understand that Subway locations can vary significantly depending on management and staff, but this location has noticeably declined over time. It’s now reached the point where I won’t be returning. Even though it’s the closest Subway to my house, I’d rather drive farther to a location that provides better service and a better overall experience.
