  I considered a 3-star review, but the service was so nice and the location is so great that I bumped it up. Our room (104) was musty and humid as possible, literally to the point that we considered buying a dehumidifier. The mustiness also created a nasty odor. Not dirty, just musty. This combined to make sleep less than ideal. The stay was great otherwise and met our needs.

  I checked in with a 5 day non-refundable reservation. I have always been happy with Best Western hotels in the past, so I expected a certain level of quality. Staff was nice but the rooms were not. First room smelled like they failed at cleaning up urine with their cleaners. I was switched to a different room that smelled better, but there was still a heavy cleaner smell. The bathroom plug in that room would not work until I reset the GDFI socket twice. The entry door had enough of a gap at the bottom that light was coming in. Maintenance did not seem like ir was a priority. The location seemed fine but I still did not feel comfortable there because of how the rooms were. I checked out within 30 minutes not even knowing if I can get at least a partial refund for the 5 days I already paid for. Seriously, it is much closer to Motel 6 standards than a Best Western.

  Killed Roaches and fire ants. An other type of bug was crawling on my pillow and around the sink. I should have taken pictures.

  Remodeled room. New furniture, bathroom fixtures, paint,TV, a/c. Basic breakfast. Quiet. Best deal in town.
