I love Subway, but I wear dentures so I always have to ask for the freshest bread so I can eat it. I went in today for the meal deal, as usual, I specifically asked for the freshest bread. I like it lightly toasted, again, so that is still soft. The girl did great with the toasting, unfortunately she used a hard, stale, 6" piece of bread! It is so hard and dry that I am barely able to bite into it with out dislodging my dentures.
There was another issue, I don't really blame on the employee, but it was a little frustrating. I don't know who's idea it was to change the order of how the subs are made. I have always had the condiments go on last. Well, apparently they are now supposed to go on before any of the vegetables. I don't want soggy bread! I get oil, vinegar, mustard and sweet onion. Tell me how that's not going to make the bread soggy? I want a good saturation through the vegetables before the bread. The employee got frustrated with me, and I was frustrated with her. Subway, can the customer not decide in what order their condiments go onto their sandwich? If that's always going to be a struggle, I'm afraid my days of enjoying Subway will be short lived!
I should have went somewhere else for lunch today.
