I originally chose Best Western Plus Executive Residency Baytown because of the positive reviews and had high hopes for my stay. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to multiple issues throughout our visit.
The elevators were out of service, so we repeatedly had to walk up and down four flights of stairs. When we called for room service items, we were told we had to come downstairs and pick them up ourselves. On another occasion, we requested bath towels and toilet paper and were told they would be brought to our room, but they never arrived.
The biggest issue was being checked out of our room early without any notification. We had not turned in our room keys, nor did we have luggage with us when we briefly came downstairs, yet staff assumed we were leaving. We then had to wait over an hour to be checked back into the room where all of our belongings were still located. To make matters worse, we were unexpectedly checked out a second time because of additional errors made during check-in.
Throughout our stay, the TV signal frequently went out, creating another inconvenience. At the end of our stay, we were told we owed additional money even though we had already paid the full amount due.
The bright spots were the manager, who was very kind and professional, and the female front desk associate who was extremely helpful when assisting us with extending our stay.
While I appreciate the efforts of those staff members, the number of service and administrative issues made this stay far more stressful than it should have been. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again.
