Ok, I genuinely dislike leaving a negative review on anyone’s business. But there is a HUGE problem with the employees at this Coppell location just ridiculously SOAKING the sandwiches in condiments. This has happened to me every single time I come in here and every time I have to tell them “light on the mayo”, and then I have to watch them like a hawk to ensure they don’t drench it. But today I came in with my sister and niece and my sister ordered for us. She told the guy “light mayo” and the guy then proceeded to absolutely DROWN the sandwich in mayonnaise. She then asked him to “scrape some of that off” at which he proceeded to just take the knife and spread it around all over the sandwich. That sandwich was the only edible one of the 3 that we purchased. She didn’t tell him “light on the mayo” for the other 2 orders and when we got back in the car and went to eat them, the last 2 were completely INEDIBLE they were soo disgusting it was RIDICULOUS that they would be made in this way! There was so much mayo and mustard that it was leaking outside of the wrapper and dropping in huge blobs all over their clothes, the car, their hands, ugh my gosh is was DISGUSTING to the point where they couldn’t even eat them. It was all over the inside and the outside of the wrapper, because it had soaked through the wrapper and saturated the opposite side. So when the sandwich on top of its wrapper was laid on their laps, the mustard on the other side just badly stained their clothing and trying to take a bite of that mess just resulted in a HUMONGOUS blob of mustard to drop out of the sandwich onto their shirt and at that point their entire outfit was ruined and they had to return home to change. Which was a problem because the reason we picked up the sandwiches in the first place was bec we were taking a road trip to Austin and wanted something to eat that was easy to eat while driving. I mean I like the flavor of mustard but after this I’m almost turned totally off of the flavor and smell of it. When the sandwiches were opened up, it was a sloppy mess of yellow and white, you could NOT even SEE the vegetables, meat and cheese underneath all of the condiments. Truly, they were buried underneath mustard and mayo slop. There were no flavors that came through in the sandwich other than the flavor of mustard. I said all this bec I’m so fed up and tired of having to police this guy while he makes my sandwich. Just saying “light on the mayo” is NOT sufficient. He will still drench it. If you say nothing, he will unload about 4 oz of mustard and mayo onto your meat and cheese. I’m not the only one having to deal with these sandwich being made like this. It happens every single time we come here. But today was just HORRIBLE, the food was 100% INEDIBLE. I mean come on, having to change your clothes and wash your hands and face with soap to remove the stickiness and mustard smell?? UNACCEPTABLE!! I am writing this in high hopes of having this issue handled and the way they are making the sandwiches changed! Please, the employee’s need training on how to properly spread condiments onto the sandwiches. I have never in my life had to deal with this issue at any food establishment ever!! I love subway but can’t enjoy it due to the yucky way they are made. Owner - Please train the employees to sparingly use the condiments. I can tell you that the way in which they are currently using them, you’re probably going through a much higher amount of it than you should be. This equates to waste and the behavior should be avoided, saving you money and saving customers from avoiding your restaurant.
