  This place should be rated a 1 star hotel. It has an awful smell, the bedcovering was dirty and smelled like marijuana and there is no security. Left and went to another hotel!

  My Wife caught the Maid searching through our belongings, We checked out early after that. Contacted BW Headquarters but they did not get back to us. Probably my last stay at a BW hotel

  I almost exclusively stay at Best Western when I travel. The only time I don't, is when there is not a Best Western accessible. Over the years, I have come to expect great accommodations from BW. The Best Western Abilene is without question the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I was shocked. My room had a musty wet scent and felt damp. Most of the accessible wall sockets were worn-out and would not support a cell phone charging block making them unusable for charging. My bathroom had a mildew scent and a urine scent at/ around the toilet. There was very little toilet paper on the roll, and the body soap and shampoo dispensar pump bottles were empty. I had to go to the front lobby desk for toilet paper, soap and shampoo. Along the hallway, there was dirt and mud in numerous places (likely from the guests that work in the surrounding oil fields, that track it in when returning from work). Although after this experience at this location, I will never stay there again, there are two positives. The hotel staff (front lobby desk) were professional and polite and the hotel sits literally about 100 feet off of the 20 Interstate Freeway (easy quick access). I would hope the Best Western Hotel Corporation does something about this Abilene location because it is not up to the Best Western quality standards.
