I'm not trying to be nasty, but I would avoid this location.
First, $33+ for two sandwiches and chips is astonishing, but that's not even my main complaint.
What really concerned me was that there appeared to be a young child, sadly, looking shockingly unkempt (we found out she was six years old while we were waiting and related to an employee relaxing at a table) walking around the restaurant with a cleaning rag. If she was simply pretending to wipe tables, that would be one thing, but she was also swinging the rag around and hitting the protective glass above the food preparation area; she was trying to reach the top of the glass, which meant it was mostly hanging over the exposed food. Watching something used for cleaning repeatedly strike the food shield was completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint.
The customer service didn't help matters. We attempted to pay with American Express, which we routinely use at other Subway locations. The cashier repeatedly told us, "Try now," and "Try again," before another employee sarcastically said, "There's a sign on the door!" Apparently, this location doesn't accept American Express. That's fine—but simply telling us politely from the beginning would have saved everyone's time. There was no need for the attitude.
To top it off, the payment screen prompted for a tip after an already expensive meal, despite the poor service and overall experience. When did that start?
Before posting this review, I read several others and noticed many complaints similar to mine. What stood out most was that none of them appeared to receive a response from management. That gives the impression that customer feedback simply isn't a priority here.
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I've had at a Subway, and I won't be returning to this location.
