Almost every delivery to my business in Lenoir City is marked "unable to deliver" or "attempted delivery" when we are literally sitting behind a glass door watching them NOT deliver or attempt to deliver. We pay for fast shipping and get no shipping or very late shipping. And then we try to get through to a human at FedEx to fix the problem and it's impossible. The system is designed to keep customers at arm's length. FedEx only survives this way because they have only 1 competitor. Extremely frustrating.

My home central air died on 07/14, so I ordered a portable unit for next day delivery on 07/15 until I could get my home system repaired. The employees at this distribution center apparently loaded my package onto the wrong truck and it has been lost. It took six days for a customer service representative to finally admit to me verbally that the package has been lost, all the while with no updates on the tracking number and no updates on my case file and no communication to me aside from a single email inquiry asking me to describe the package, which came only 5 days after the delivery date and only after multiple calls and complaints to customer service. I strongly suspect my package was stolen, though I have no way of proving that.
Whoever runs this distribution center needs to be fired. I have never experienced such a grossly incompetent and mismanaged package delivery. I cannot begin to put into words the degree of absolute rage and aggravation I have suffered as a result of this experience. I was forced to purchase a separate portable AC unit at greater cost and rated for less BTU than the unit I originally purchased to keep my home habitable until replacement parts for my central air arrive. My home reached 91 degrees before I was able to deploy the replacement portable unit, and now at absolute best it can only get to about 78 at night.
I can only pray to God above that my repair parts for my central air are not being shipped by FedEx. I hope I never have another package shipped to me through this godforsaken company ever again.
