I had been using this location regularly for over a year through a business account and had always received good service until my most recent visit.
I routinely ship veterinary blood products and am very familiar with the packaging requirements. During my last shipment, the employee assisting me questioned my packaging and consulted a coworker. I explained that the insulated Styrofoam container was common practice for these time-sensitive materials, but both employees were dismissive and unfriendly throughout the interaction.
I was then told I would need to sign a waiver stating they would not be responsible if anything happened to the package. Given the urgency of the shipment and the fact that a veterinary hospital was waiting for these blood products, I felt I had no practical choice but to sign and proceed. As with every package I ship, the shipment was fully insured through my company's shipping agreements, and I have never encountered this requirement during any of my previous shipments.
To make matters worse, I was not given a receipt, and this shipment was never scanned during transit in Tennessee. Tracking only updated once it reached the destination state. After countless shipments through this location, this was the first time I had experienced that issue.
One bad experience can happen anywhere, but the combination of poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and concerns surrounding the handling of this shipment was enough for me to find alternative shipping options. I will not be returning to this location.
