  It's been awhile since I've been in and maybe I have been over spending because of that. My alternator went out on a Thursday night, and my vehicle was in another town on the roadside. I called around and was getting some super high quotes and the soonest they could get was Tuesday, it was Friday morning. Finally I called Advanced, and was lucky enough to have the manager answer. She was able to price match and give a military discount, and able to get it Saturday morning. I don't know how but she did some magic and was able to get it there the next day a cheaper than anyone else. I'm not saying they have to be the first call, but I'm sure they will be the last and you wallet will thank you. Don't forget to sign up for the rewards program or whatever it's called for them. I did right when I picked up my replacement. Thanks again to the manager Stacy for going above and beyond.

  Lately, Advance Auto Parts seems to be missing the mark when it comes to customer service. I recently placed an order for pickup, only to arrive and find out the item wasn’t actually in stock. That wasn’t a huge issue, as I was able to substitute five individual quarts for the five-quart jug I originally ordered. The bigger concern was that the employee assisting me didn’t seem to understand the difference between oil weights and attempted to substitute the wrong product. For something as important as engine oil, that’s a pretty significant issue. I think the store could do a much better job educating and training its employees on the products they sell.
