  Came by to pick up an online order that I placed for this store simply because I happened to be in the area. I will always pick my parts from this store if possible in the future. Every employee I encountered was polite, friendly, just overall happy. And Gary? Oh man, what an incredible asset to the team and just an amazing gentleman in general. He was kind and understanding when I mentioned my online order had just been placed, and went and got it for me since I was already in the store. He was personable and funny the entire time I interacted with him. I had to do a separate transaction on top of my online order and he handled it with ease and speed. And then came the biggest thing. I needed a quick code scan run. Even in the blazing heat, he helped me with a smile. Despite the scanner not wanting to cooperate, he persisted and finally, once inside he explained the codes to me and I told him how we had just replaced a part on the car that we thought would fix the issue that the code was showing. I thanked him and went out to my car. Thankfully I had to send a few quick texts, because next thing I know he's standing outside my window, asking me to wait just a moment. He went inside and came out and handed me some print outs, that weren't the code scan reports. This kind, considerate, amazing man took the time out of his day to Google my cars code and what I had done previously and why it could still be popping up, and printed them out for me so I could have the knowledge to get my issue fixed. I know that's something that took him only a minute, but the fact that he even thought to do that small gesture to help me made all the difference. Just phenomenal customer service. It's the little things that make the difference for sure because I will always come back to this location.

  General Manager John was incredibly helpful in diagnosing a computer glitch on our CRV. Saved us a ton of time and money. Fantastic service.

  The online experience was a bit frustrating but the people at the Mauldin SC store sorted it out loud for me. The name on my receipt says Gary. He did a great job.

  had an outstanding experience at Advance Auto Parts thanks to John. From the moment I walked in, he was genuinely friendly—something you honestly don’t expect walking into an auto parts store. No attitude, no rush, just immediately helpful and engaged. He came right out, tested my battery on the spot, explained what was going on, and handled everything quickly and professionally. What stood out most was how easy he made the whole process. He communicated clearly, didn’t waste time, and you could tell he actually cared about helping—not just getting through another customer. In a short interaction, he built real trust, which is rare. This is the kind of customer service that makes you come back to a specific location. John operates at a high level and represents what great service should look like. He absolutely deserves recognition—and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up running a store.
