Dear Store Owner/Manager,
I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent experience at your UPS Store location in South Carolina earlier today. ( store # 5278)
My husband and I visited your store to have documents notarized for a passport renewal. As this is not a process we frequently go through, we had a few basic questions to ensure everything was completed correctly. Unfortunately, the staff member assisting us was dismissive and unprofessional in her responses.
Throughout the interaction, whenever we asked a question, she responded in a curt manner, stating things like “I’m an expert in this, just leave it to me,” without taking the time to explain the process. Her tone and facial expressions made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, rather than supported as customers.
Additionally, she proceeded with photocopying documents without clearly informing us of the associated charges beforehand, despite the fact that we had already brought copies with us. At one point, my husband was also asked to move away abruptly while observing the process, which came across as unnecessarily rude.
The store was empty at the time, so this experience was particularly surprising and disappointing. Customer service is a key part of any business, and we did not feel respected or valued during this interaction.
For your reference, I have attached a copy of the receipt, which includes the transaction details and employee information to help you review this incident.
While the notary service itself was completed, the overall experience fell far below expectations. Given the circumstances, I would appreciate it if you could review this situation and consider a refund of the $25 fee as a gesture of goodwill.
At the very least, I hope this feedback is taken constructively to ensure a more professional and customer-friendly experience for others in the future.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Shweta
