My family and I switched to cricket back in March. We had to make several trips to get everyone in our 5 line plan switched over. Each visit we spent 2 +hours. Which was Ok. The ladies were really nice and easy to work with. We were able to get a 5 line plan for $100, which saved everyone money. However, we quickly found out that none of us have service at home. Its terrible. Service while we are out and about seems ok. The reason I gave Cricket 2 stars is because my dads phone just quit last week. He takes really good care of his phone. It had no physical damage or water damage. The local Cricket gave him the warranty claim centers phone number and told him his phone had a factory defect after he took it in for them to check. So I called the number, I was given a return authorization number and was told to take the phone to the local UPS Store and they would ship it back and send dad a replacement. Well the replacement arrived the next day but its a used, refurbished phone that has wear and tear. Excuse me but the phone had a factory defect, something not caused by us, we purchased a NEW PHONE, OUR REPLACEMENT SHOULD BE A NEW PHONE! I called the local Cricket Store and of course they told me to call the warranty department again. So I did and the woman informed me that they never give people NEW REPLACEMENTS, they are always refurbished. I have placed warranty claims for other items and have never received a refurbished replacement. They always send a NEW REPLACEMENT BECAUSE ITS FACTORY DEFECT! This is not acceptable at all on Crickets part! But I guess we are stuck with it now. No one wants to make it right. I will make sure all of our family and friends know the warranty terms before selecting Cricket as their cellular provider.
