  The room was clean and the service went above and beyond expectations. The location portion is just my personal preference. Charleston is just a sorry place to be and that is not the motels fault.

  The staff are really great. Room was clean. The ac leaked onto the carpet. Floor was squishy. Bottom floor of the hotel had serious water leaking around the vending area. Ceiling tiles collapsed and trash cans collected water.

  We booked this hotel for our employees who are working in the area. The manager refused to accept their passport as ID. She said they needed to have a valid drivers license to check in. What do you with international travelers, with those who don’t drive, or with those who are disabled and have others drive them? I had to scramble and stress out during dinner time to find different accommodations for them. For the manager, do better and bless your heart!

  I enjoyed my stay. Room is a little dated and the ac was older (but worked) but struggled to keep the room cold in the heat of the day. Mattress sagged on the edge by the night stand BUT the middle of the bed was good and I was still able to get a good night sleep. Pool was closed which was a bummer. However, the location to food and pubs was excellent. Overall, a good stay.

  Stayed for one night. The first room we were assigned smelled strongly of marijuana. As soon as we opened the door, it was like a cloud of smoke hit us, which was especially ironic considering I had just signed a no-smoking policy. I immediately went to the front desk and requested a different room. The second room seemed fine at first, so we dropped off our bags, turned the A/C on, and left for the day. When we returned, the room was extremely hot. We also found roaches, the toilet wasn't working properly, and despite waiting over an hour, the A/C never cooled the room. We eventually realized there was a ceiling vent blowing hot air into the room, seemingly from outside, which completely overpowered the air conditioner even though it was set to the lowest temperature. I'm not an HVAC expert, but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to work that way. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and uncomfortable. Between the marijuana smell in the first room, the roaches, broken toilet, and ineffective air conditioning in the second, I would not stay here again especially for what they charge for this poor of quality.
