  If I could give it no stars, I would. I am new to Hardeeville, South Carolina and the closest UPS store is the Okatie store at 198 Okatie Village Rd. I shop at Amazon often so I have returns from time to time. I’ve been visiting this store since I moved for my Amazon returns and there hasn’t been one time that I entered into the store to use the kiosk and a stout young lady with glasses on (she’s Caucasian) has been cussing every single time I visited the store. She’s either cussing because she’s complaining about working there or she’s complaining about the customers or she’s just laughing and cracking jokes but still she’s using profanity in front of the customers every single time. I don’t like writing bad reviews, but after my experience today while returning an Amazon item I had to say something. I witnessed the same young lady, as I walked in, cussing at an elderly Caucasian lady (a customer) on the other side of the counter. The customer walked out of the store very upset, and the young lady behind the counter, yelled at the customer to take her box with her. The customer replied that the box was empty and walked out of the store. The young lady stopped what she was doing with her current customer standing in front of her, walked from behind the counter and out of the store and threw the empty box at the customer. The customer kept walking. When she came back in, I said to her that was very unprofessional, and she didn’t say anything to me. I felt the need to say something because this young lady should not be working for your store.

  I’m a local business owner in Bluffton and I frequent this UPS Store on Okatie Drive 2–3x per week—and sometimes multiple times per day. In other words, I’m not just a casual customer; I’m very familiar with the staff, the flow of the store, and the customer experience at this location. I can say without a doubt that the staff and customer service here are 5 Stars all the way! Truly—I have never once had a bad experience at this store. And I don’t say that lightly. I’m writing this after at least 400 visits, and every time I walk in, the team is professional, fast, and genuinely helpful. So honestly, I’m shocked by some of the negative reviews. The only reasoning I can figure is this: some people seem to be treating this store like it’s “only for Amazon returns,” and judging it based on their own frustration with how Amazon’s return process works. And let me be really clear—this UPS Store runs Amazon returns essentially “for free” to Amazon customers. This is a huge service to the community, but it also means the store gets hit with a mass amount of returns from customers who may not understand the steps needed on their phones or with their printouts to handle their Amazon return quickly and efficiently. Also, this location is right next to one of the largest retirement centers in Bluffton. I know firsthand that many retirees sit around all day ordering products online—only to return them 3 days later. I have personally seen this store handle 700+ Amazon returns in a single day, and the staff is still expected to stay calm, organized, and courteous while doing the work that makes that service possible. What many people fail to recognize is that those customer’s returns are often inundating and overwhelming the store—not because the UPS Store is doing anything wrong, but because they don’t understand the process and instead of taking a moment to learn how Amazon returns should be organized, they come in already upset at Amazon and take it out on the staff at this UPS Store! I’ve seen it firsthand, and I’ve even stepped in to help a couple of customers myself. I’ve experienced the “from the beginning” negativity that some people bring with them—and it’s completely unfair to put that blame on the staff. So to anyone reading: please don’t believe the negative reviews as if they reflect the quality of this store. A lot of the complaints appear to come from people who just love to complain, not from actual issues with service. If you want a place that treats people with respect, handles your shipments and returns correctly, and consistently provides top-tier customer care, this UPS Store on Okatie Drive is the place. Thank you to the entire team—you’re appreciated more than you know, and you absolutely deserve every single 5-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review! I love this store and its staff and I will continue to keep supporting them!

  The people working in the UPS store in Okatie, SC are wonderful. Even when the lines are long, they are nice and always helpful.

  The entire staff was very helpful as I wanted to ship a small elephant baby back to his nature environment. We ended up cutting holes for his legs so he would not just fall out the bottom when we picked the box up. See photo! Thanks
