I disliked the constant pressure to add more coverage, such as renters insurance. Too many customer-service interactions felt more like sales pitches than actual assistance.
After I got married, I repeatedly received emails encouraging me to add my spouse to my policy. I declined several times, but the emails continued. They only stopped after I warned that I would cancel my policy if the unwanted emails continued.
My most concerning experience happened when I needed roadside assistance. I called the number printed on the new roadside-assistance card they had provided, only to discover that the number was disconnected. Thankfully, a coworker was able to meet me on the highway and change my tire.
Overall, the repeated sales pressure, difficulty getting my preferences respected, and failure of the roadside-assistance contact information made this a frustrating experience. I am relieved that I was able to cancel my insurance and move to another provider.
