I always frequent the location knowing the family personally, even though I know that I get better quality food from other nearby locations. The 2 owners know me, not in a very personal manner but enough to recognize me when coming in due to frequency. After today, I unfortunately won’t be back. I placed an online order on a time crunch, and went in to pick it up. The app showed a “system error” but my order was processed and paid for within the app. The owner kept saying he couldn’t see it in his system. I showed him my phone multiple times with the entire proof of transaction. He walked away and went to the back and didn’t come back for over 5 minutes. I had no idea what was going on. When he came back out I said “….are you going to make this order for me?” And he would not. Literally would not. Didn’t offer a solution, didn’t even tell me to re-enter the order, just simply would not make it. I was baffled and at that point yes, I was very short with him. I went to leave and turned around and asked him to reiterate that he refused to make this food even though I’m showing him the purchased order, and he was getting his jacket on and would not make it. For an establishment who is already struggling, it’s incredibly disappointing to have had this experience. I wasn’t asking for a favor, I wasn’t asking for a handout. I was literally just asking for the food that I paid for. The store is known for being extremely stingy, but to blatantly not provide the items I paid for is stealing, whether it’s $8 or $80.
