I am extremely disappointed with both the service and the way I was treated at this Subway.
I am a regular customer and order the same meal every week — four turkey subs at a time so I have dinners for the week. Yesterday, I got home and discovered that there was no turkey on any of the sandwiches — just bread and toppings.
I called today simply requesting a remake or refund. I was told I needed to come into the store with my receipt, which I did.
Instead of correcting the mistake, the employee argued with me and refused to help because I had thrown the sandwiches away rather than bringing them back to “prove” there was no turkey. The reason I threw them away is because by the time I got home, the store was already closed, so returning them that night wasn’t even possible.
I was standing there in tears, just asking for the order to be remade, and he repeatedly said he “couldn’t” do anything. He even consulted with a coworker, who also refused to offer any resolution.
To make matters worse, the order wasn’t even ready when I arrived, despite being placed online, so I was already kept waiting.
The final response I received was to “dispute the charge with my bank.”
Mistakes happen, but refusing to correct a clear error and treating a loyal customer this way is unacceptable. I will not be returning.
