  I purchased an AC Pro R-134a refrigerant kit from Advanced Auto Parts in Leechburg slash Hyde Park, Pennsylvania for my 2017 Buick Encore, which is the correct refrigerant for this vehicle according to the manufacturer specifications. The product failed to work despite being the number one selling recharge brand and being compatible with my vehicle. When a certified mechanic attempted to use it, he discovered it did not function and had to use his own refrigerant instead, costing us an additional one hundred sixty nine dollars and fifty nine cents to properly charge the AC system, which now works perfectly. When my fiancée attempted to return the unused portion of the product, she was told to come back an hour and a half later to speak with Steve, the manager. During that conversation, Steve initially suggested we did not know what we were doing with the recharge kit, implying we were at fault. He then refused the refund claiming the product was nonrefundable because it had been used, despite the fact that it simply did not work as advertised. Steve then offered to demonstrate the product by putting it into her vehicle outside, but she declined because her vehicle had already been properly charged by the certified mechanic and could potentially be damaged. After she refused, Steve then offered to put it into his own vehicle to show her it works, which makes no sense given that his vehicle is not the same as hers and Advanced Auto Parts does not offer installation services anyway. I contacted corporate and was told only a district manager or general manager could authorize a refund. In my view, selling a product that does not work for the vehicle it claims to be compatible with is false advertisement. We are out seventy dollars and received poor customer service and no resolution.

  Needed help with some parts today and I was in a rush omw to work, Vickie was so helpful and very quick, getting me out the door faster than I even anticipated. Definitely one of the better employees there! Very knowledgeable professional and kind. This store is lucky to have her. She gets 5 stars from me.
