  I shop at the Hummelstown Advance Auto Parts store whenever need something for my car. The a/c was not working on my car so I went in to buy some Freon. John, the customer service representative was very helpful. John found the correct Freon and explained to me how to use it, and also said that I can look up on YouTube how to recharge the freon. I went home, gave the can of Freon to my husband to put the Freon in my car. After he filled it, there appeared to be some sort of leaking out from the valve and unfortunately the valve cap was missing. The good news is that the a/c is now working (but for how long with no cap and a possible leaking?). A day or two later I went back to Advance Auto and John was there again. He got me the valve replacement thingy and the cap. I told him that we were going to change it out ourselves. John said that since the Freon is currently in there, it is under pressure and suggested we should take it to a mechanic where they can first take out the freon, then replace the part and then put the Freon back in. Thank goodness John gave me such good advice. Since the a/c is still working great, I am going to wait and see if it lasts. Thank you John for your help and good advice!

  I went in to get a headlight for my car. There were 3 sales associates in there that all completely ignored me even when I tried to ask a question while all 3 of them helped the only person that was in there. After 5 mins, I left empty handed. Will not be back. Very rude customer service

  I went in yesterday evening (2/20/26) and asked the gentleman behind the counter “I don’t know much about cars and my headlight is out. Could you help me?” And he just smiled a bit and said “no”. He didn’t offer to look anything up, or show me the selection of bulbs, nothing. I was just so surprised at his bluntness that I said “that’s alright” and left. It was such a ridiculous interaction I want even mad, just amused. I have since been informed that that is not the standard for such locations.

  1-star rating is specific to google maps portion for GPS. It led us past Cocoa Diner and in the middle of the road it said you have arrived. We have figured out the issue here now and hope to remember for next time it is in the plaza strip mall. Google maps should update on their end to not have . I recalibrated my phone map with an accurate location and it said it was in the middle of the grassy ditch again next to cocoa diner. will update any further feedback once any changes may occur.
