I was waiting for a package that was scheduled for delivery but new driver went to a wrong place and reported that our business is closed. I called customer service to let them know no one came by and that we are open. Jan from local PDX office called me back to let me know she will have it redeliver to me on Monday. I asked if I can come by to pick up the package since I don’t want to wait until Monday. I didn’t know that DHL office closed at 5PM. Jan’s went above and beyond to help me retrieve my package and waited for me even though office was already closed. I don’t think FedEx or UPS employees would have this level of customer service like Jan. Thank you for all your helps and support to fix others mistake Jan. You definitely made my day.

DHL is hands down my favorite courier service. Every interaction has been exceptional—the team consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is handled quickly and professionally. Had to drop off an exchange specifically with DHL and the only two access points were each 25 minutes away. When I got there I’d realized I’d forgotten to print the return postage slip and DHL doesn’t have printing services. Jan at the north Portland location was very kind and printed it for me so I didn’t have to drive all the way home. She was patient and warm and a pleasure to speak with.

There was an unexpected delay in getting my package to the destination by the expected delivery date. However, the 5 stars is for Jan in the DHL office. She was very helpful and patient. She went out of her way to get me the information regarding the cause of the delay and reassured me that the package would be arriving.

This is the most ridiculous shipping service I’ve ever experienced with DHL.
Here’s the situation: my package was shipped from California and arrived in Portland, where I live. Instead of delivering it to me from Portland, DHL sent it all the way to Texas. Then they handed it over to USPS, and now it’s being shipped back from Texas to Portland.
It makes absolutely no sense. The package was already in my city, but DHL decided to send it across the country first. This unnecessary routing caused delays and wasted time.
I would strongly recommend choosing a different shipping company and avoiding DHL whenever possible. This has been one of the worst delivery experiences I’ve had.
