Without question, this was the worst Subway experience I have ever had.
The woman who appeared to be the manager (the tattooed lady) was incredibly rude from the moment we walked in. We were polite throughout the entire interaction, yet she acted as though serving us was an inconvenience.
The store was advertising the “Buy One Footlong, Get the Second 50% Off” promotion on the front window. When the discount didn’t apply, she insisted that “the computer automatically does it.” As someone who has previously worked at Subway, I know that many promotions require the employee to apply the correct code. When I politely questioned it, she simply claimed the promotion was over—even though the advertisement was still displayed and the promotion was still valid.
The service only got worse from there. She barely added any vegetables to the sandwich, only a few olives and a few tomato slices on an entire footlong. When I politely asked for more vegetables, she looked at me dismissively and still refused to add them.
I also requested three sauces. She put on only one and ignored the rest.
Meanwhile, the other employee working there was polite and professional. He even appeared uncomfortable with how the interaction was being handled, but it seemed he couldn’t intervene because she was the manager.
This wasn’t just poor customer service, it felt intentionally disrespectful. Whether it was because we were visitors or for some other reason, we were treated far differently than any customer deserves to be treated.
I will never return to this location and certainly cannot recommend it to anyone. Management at Subway should seriously review the customer service standards at this store because this experience reflected very poorly on the brand.
