    Don't lie to me. Your sign was on, your hours were posted showing you were open, your register still said "welcome" You knew the risk when you started cleaning up and putting things away well before closing time. I would have gladly gone somewhere else with no hard feelings so you didn't have to pull stuff back out. But lying to my face is disrespectful.
