I’m not wanting to write reviews, but I’ve gotta share this…. I’ve gone to the Wingstop forever and never had any problems until today. We Uber eats 10 wings each and some fries. Everything was super yummy and great. Besides, my husband’s wings were unfortunately not seasoned correctly. There was a puddle of grease in the bottom of the paper and all the seasoning was in the grease, but nothing was on the wings. Which is all good it happens, he calls and asked for a remake and explains the situation. The lady on the phone was nice. On the other hand, the group of guys were not so kind and made me feel like extremely uncomfortable when I came in. As soon as I walked in they just immediately started in on me. I’m not sure if they were butt hurt or if they were just being super sarcastic trying to give me a hard time but either way it was extremely weird. I don’t typically make reviews but the fact that it was this big of a deal to get 10 wings remade is ridiculous. I give the wings back and they all gather around to investigate the wings questioning if they should even remake them for me. The whole thing… glaring, jokes, bad attitude, etc. I get it. It’s annoying to remake 10 wings but it was so obviously not seasoned. Then the guy wants to give me a hard time about the sticker on the box. We had ordered 10 garlic Parmesan and 10 hot honey… they split them up between each box so the sticker said 5 garlic Parmesan and 5 hot honey. So he then proceeded to tell me that I was telling him the wrong thing and I just really wanted 10 hot honey….? So I explained to him and say if you want to look at the Uber eats order it was 10 hot honey.
This conversation goes on for a couple mins, back and forth, mind you I’m very kind and continue
to be. But when I walk in, I’m immediately greeted with a hostile attitude. He proceeds to say he guesses he will remake them. Obviously, you can see them make the wings in the back and they are just making jokes about it the entire time… A few minutes later he slams a bag on the counter rolls, it up, and is literally just staring me dead in the face. so I ask “oh is this for me”, apparently it was. He tells me to check them out and tells me that they’ve made me a special sauce in the back…. Weird. I didn’t take the sauce.. I proceed to try to lighten the mood and say “oh he doesn’t use sauce or ranch. He’s crazy.” he then tells me I’m crazy.😂😂 at this point I’m just continuing to smile and laugh because I genuinely feel like I’m on a PRANK SHOW. He tells me to check out the wings so I open them and I say thank you so much. This looks great! He made some smart comment. So I looked at him and said “you can’t deny that those wings were not made correctly?” and his attitude switched up very quickly. I eventually say “ I’m so sorry I did not mean to cause so many problems for you guys” I don’t even remember what he said at this point, but I did tell him before I left that he was making me feel weird and very uncomfortable. I didn’t take the “special sauce” they made me but he did give me a brownie and said he was sorry but I just walked out at that point.
I should’ve known with the behavior that they were having, that when I got home, the wings were just completely crunchy. They were seasoned correctly, but this is genuinely such a disappointing & strange experience and I’m so confused why I was treated like this over 10 wings.
Point is why does the group of guys feel like this is some personal attack when someone kindly ask them to remake their wings. Proceeds to give a customer such a hard time and makes them feel extremely uncomfortable in front of everybody and in front of their group of buddies in the back. So much stuff was said, but I really can’t make this up. I feel like I was on a prank show it was so bad 😂
