  Very disappointing experience at the Vandalia Subway location this evening. I stopped in to order dinner for my family and started by ordering the first sub. After the employee finished making and wrapping it, she asked if I had more subs to order. When I said yes, her attitude immediately changed. She seemed very annoyed and rudely asked how many more I had. What made the situation even more frustrating was that another employee was sitting in a chair in the back and appeared to be sleeping instead of helping, even though I had several sandwiches to order. The employee helping me was very short and rude throughout the rest of my order, which made the entire experience uncomfortable and unpleasant. As a customer ordering dinner for my family, I shouldn't feel like I'm inconveniencing an employee simply because I have more than one sandwich to order. Customer service and attitude go a long way, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short. Based on my experience tonight, I would not recommend the Vandalia location.

  Just went here at 8:30pm and they said they were closed already. The lady behind the counter said we're open until 9 but that's not really the case. I guess they close sometime before 8:30.

  I would also give this place negative stars if I could. Haven’t been in here in over 5 years and was quickly reminded why. The young girl took 5 min to come out then didn’t even acknowledge us or speak just stood there. My 10 year old son asked her what the options for protein bowls were and she threw her hands up in the air and yelled at him and said “whatever you want!” So I then said nevermind we don’t want to eat here and she just walked away like she could care less. Refused to give me her managers number. Also refused when my husband called back later. Don’t even waste your time or money here. Go to Englewood to the Taywood location where they are super friendly!!!!

  Avoid. Won’t honor coupons and are nice about it either. We walked out. This was our last straw with this place. Go to the Subway right up the road at the Pilot stop, they honor coupons and are friendly.
