I was going to leave 0 stars but Chris came in to save the day, I really appreciate good customer service and Chris delivered, they need to couch the other guy a bit, if the customer is already upset you don't take it personal and try to look for a solution, just saying.

Shawn at the Lewis location was very helpful and friendly. He went above and beyond to help me with my phone issues. He deserves a raise. He is the type of employee that businesses want and should have.

I came in to check on services to call overseas and to be able to use my phone to travel to the UK. They told me that in order to do that I would need to separate my account and upgrade my phone. Kevin stated that I would need to separate my account from my group plan and then add international calling. I asked 2 times if this would allow my to use my phone in the UK as well and I was told 2 times it would. Then another staff member came in and stood next to the store clerk named Kevin (Name on the receipt) and I asked Kevin 3 more times, each time he assured me, doing so 3 more times. I said that it sounds good to me. I paid the finds required and did everything they asked me.Then the employee next to Kevin asked me if I was traveling abroad and I said yes, to confirm once more. I reiterated that I want to be able to call my partner while in the states and use my phone while abroad just to be informed after making the changes that what I just did and paid for wouldn't work by itself that I would need to spend another $100 ($10 a day for 10 days) and that the remaining days of my holiday would be free. I told him that this wasn't what I wanted and he stated that this is how all companies work. I said I want to be able to just land and use my phone overseas and to use it here. The other anonymous employee said unfortunately I wouldn't be able to until I purchased this passport package. I stated that if I had known this that I would not have done all these other changes. I asked to undo the changes and he stated that he could not reverse them and that I would need to wait til the end of the month (This was Jan 30th btw) and I said so tomorrow. He said no, then end of 30 days which would be the end of February. I then told them that I was shutting my account down and transferring my number and wented to get my money back and he said that they can't refund my money because it goes to Cricket and this was how prepaid services work. I said, "They take your money even when you no longer have services"? He reiterated they can't do nothing amd gave me the number to Cricket Customer Service. Carlos from Cricket Customer Care just told me that they were wrong about several things but they couldn't refund me because it was a Franchise location and that I needed to ask for their Headquarters number. They then informed me to just dispute the transactions with me bank directly and gave the transaction numbers. Carlos was who I talked to from Customer care. Throughout the whole process, the Lewis employees just sat there and tried to gaslight me and told me that they know there was a miscommunication, implying that it a as on my part and that they wasn't going to argue with me about it even though he (The employee next to Kevin) had already informed me that the employee named Kevin had informed me incorrectly, but neither of the two wanted to fix the iasue.
