  I had a 9:30 a.m. fingerprinting appointment at this location and arrived about 20 minutes early because I had left extra time to account for traffic. I completely understand that arriving early does not mean I’m entitled to be seen before my scheduled appointment time, but the way the situation was handled was unnecessarily rigid and honestly a little bizarre. When I arrived, there were no other customers in the store. I was greeted by the only UPS employee I could see behind the counter and told him I was there for a fingerprinting appointment. He asked what time my appointment was, and when I said 9:30, he responded, “Okay, well I’ll help you at 9:30.” (It was 9:10 am…) There was nowhere to sit, so I proceeded to stand in the store for the next 20 minutes waiting for the clock to hit 9:30. I’m also visibly 21 weeks pregnant, which made standing around unnecessarily even more frustrating. During that entire time, no other customers were in the store and the employee did not appear to be occupied with anything that would obviously prevent him from assisting me. Maybe the fingerprinting system literally does not allow appointments to be started before their scheduled time. If that’s the case, that’s completely understandable, but a simple explanation—“Unfortunately, the system won’t let me start your appointment until 9:30”—would have made the interaction feel entirely different. Instead, it came across as oddly dismissive and inflexible. Good customer service doesn’t necessarily mean accommodating every request or seeing someone early; sometimes it’s simply communicating why you can’t. Standing silently in an empty UPS Store for 20 minutes waiting for an arbitrary minute on the clock was certainly an interesting way to start my morning.

  The owner Resha is extremely friendly, personable and professional. I had to ship a phone back this morning. He made the process very smooth. Definitely would recommend the UPS store to anyone.
