Warning to anyone shipping high-value or sentimental items at this location.
I visited this store for an Amazon return on Thursday, Aug 20, 2026 at 2pm and witnessed an incredibly upsetting interaction with an elderly gentleman who brought in a 100+ year-old antique clock. He explained that the clock was valuable and important to him and that he had even called the store the week before to make sure it could be packaged safely.
While he was trying to communicate his concerns, the General Manager was loudly discussing personal family drama with coworkers across the lobby. She took the clock, wrapped it once, and started to walk away. When the gentleman politely asked if she could please double-wrap it for additional protection, she responded sharply that she had “been doing this for 19 years” and that she “had it.”
He expressed his concern more than once, and instead of reassuring a customer who was understandably nervous about shipping an irreplaceable antique, she continued to dismiss him. The interaction became uncomfortable enough that I finally spoke up on his behalf. Only then did she add additional wrapping.
Customers should not have to compete with an employee’s personal conversation for attention - that’s what a break room and break time are for. They certainly shouldn’t be made to feel difficult for asking reasonable questions about the safe handling of an irreplaceable item.
As a former UPS Inside Sales Rep, I used to proudly refer customers to The UPS Store because professional packing and the Certified Packing Guarantee gave customers confidence when shipping valuable items. What I witnessed at this location was completely inconsistent with the level of care and professionalism I would expect when trusting a store with an irreplaceable possession.
What concerned me even further was learning, after asking to speak with management, that the employee involved was the General Manager and that her parents own the store. That left me with very little confidence that there was meaningful internal accountability available for what I had just witnessed.
This gentleman did everything right. He called ahead. He explained the age, value, and significance of his clock. He politely asked - more than once - for additional protection. He deserved to feel confident that his treasured possession was being handled with care, not made to feel like an inconvenience for advocating for his own property.
If you are shipping something high-value, antique, sentimental, or otherwise irreplaceable, I strongly recommend choosing another location where your concerns—and your property - will be treated with the care they deserve.

Quick in and out and I like the new store standardization . Seemless from location to location.

Big dude saying he hates Amazon returns when there is a line out the door. Rude and bad for business - go figure it’s the owner.

I went in today to return some items. Not one employee acknowledged me, not even the one who "helped" me. Incredibly rude. I'll stick to the Westerville State St UPS from now on.

I would give this place 1 star BUT on the occasion I need to ship something, it's usually handled with care versus the post office.
This review is because of a recent visit I had to return 2 small items to AMAZON. There were two guys working at the time, one older and one younger.
The older (he was tall and bald) guy started to complain about Amazon returns has the younger guy was scanning some Amazon returns that a lady in front of me brought in. Way to make people feel uncomfortable!
By the time she left, it was my turn. The younger guy helped me and the older guy continued to complain stating "We had 1 paying customer all day!" (they opened at 10am today since it's Sunday, I got there slightly before 11am) I'm guessing the paying customer was the lady next to me who was actually shipping something.
I said "Well hopefully Amazon pays you guys" and he said "No, they don't" which I HIGHLY doubt they don't pay some sort of fee to UPS and the other stores that they have processing returns...
If you've been open for an hour and you had ONE customer shipping something, then basically you wouldn't be doing much if there were no Amazon returns. Sorry for making you work at work.
I'll give him 1 point since he did throw "no offense to you and your returns...” in with his complaints but still, the whole thing was awkward.
On my way out, I stated that "I will take my returns elsewhere from here on out" (which kind of sucks because they are the closest place to me that takes Amazon returns).
He was probably not happy because he said "We didn't do anything to hurt you"(I was basically out the door at that point) True, nothing was done to hurt me. Still, No thanks!
