I had a very disappointing experience at this location. From the moment we walked in, the entire interaction felt unprofessional and disrespectful.
A girl walked in right before us, went behind the counter, and started making herself a sandwich while both employees were distracted talking to her. We were standing there waiting to order, but she helped herself first while we waited. Didn’t wash her hands. Put on 1 glove. Was barley wearing a shirt. And the shirt she did have on was so short and baggy that it was hovering over the food as she leaned over to make herself a sandwich.
When it was finally our turn, we ordered three footlongs and a protein pack. For the protein pack, I asked to have the large tortilla instead of the flatbread. I was told I would have to be charged extra for the tortilla, even though I wasn’t asking for extra meat or anything additional—just a different bread option. The male employee apparently didn’t hear that conversation, so when he came over and asked about the flatbread, the female employee responded, “It’s garbage, throw it away.” He then tossed it behind him.
I also specifically asked for two of the subs to be toasted for 10 seconds only because my kids will not eat the bread if it gets too toasted or changes color. The employee started the toaster and walked away. I reminded him that I had asked for only 10 seconds. He looked at the timer, made a dismissive hand gesture like “oh well,” and walked away to start making another sandwich. Once it had been 20 seconds, I said again, “I said 10 seconds. My kids will not eat the bread if it’s toasty or a different color.” He came back with an attitude, went to take them out, and then actually tried to put them back in the toaster.
Overall, the entire experience was uncomfortable and frustrating.
