I had a very frustrating experience at this Advance Auto Parts location. I purchased a car seat cover and had my receipt, but one employee told me that the product was non-refundable. Another employee, a woman, later processed the refund for the exact same product, which was very confusing and inconsistent.
I was also made to wait for about 30 minutes for no reason. Instead of simply processing my refund, the employee kept trying to convince me to purchase another product. I did not appreciate being pressured into buying something else when I was simply asking for a refund.
Employees should be giving customers clear and consistent information and respecting their time. This is not the way good customer service should be handled. I hope management addresses this situation and makes sure employees understand the store’s return policy.

Extremely Disappointed With Advance Auto Parts Battery
I purchased a replacement lawnmower battery from Advance Auto Parts after my old Duralast battery finally gave out. That Duralast battery had lasted 11 years, so I expected a replacement battery to provide reasonable service life as well.
I usually shop at AutoZone, but I decided to give Advance Auto Parts a try. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake.
The new battery was connected to a battery sustainer/charger, and after what seemed to me like only a few weeks of use, the charger reported that the battery was “bad.” When I took the battery back to Advance, I was told that the warranty was only three months. I later discovered that I had actually purchased the battery about four months earlier, putting me just outside their warranty period.
The result? A battery that lasted roughly four months, compared with the 11 years I got from my previous battery.
I only use my lawnmower occasionally, so this amounted to approximately six uses. At the price I paid, that means I effectively spent about $12 every time I started my lawnmower.
That is simply unacceptable to me. I understand that batteries can fail, but a battery failing shortly after the warranty expires—and having no meaningful recourse from the retailer—is extremely disappointing.
Based on this experience, I will not purchase another lawnmower battery from Advance Auto Parts. If you’re looking for a battery that you expect to last, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
Advance Auto Parts has lost my business over this experience.
Making they own policy, refusing on tool returns even if not used, while franchise (actual company ) policy states all products can be returned, worst store I’ve been to
Bought a car battery from this location and a month later the battery was already dead. Went into the store for a warranty replacement and the worker says they need to test the battery and it takes 40 minutes to test the battery. They expected us to wait and return for them to test the dead battery they sold us. Worst store ever and a complete scam. Never visit this store

My 2 month old optima red top battery has been needing a boost to get going. Went to swap it but it checked out which is ok. Likely because I boosted it and drove it there (which can recharge the battery a little).
However I was told that it dies because I don’t drive it everyday… I crank it up and move my car twice a week (runs for about 20 minutes each time) and drive it on the weekends as hundreds of thousands other manhattanites do.
Long story short. They don’t know much about cars…
