  Room was clean, staff was great, ample parking, and location is walking distance from RPI, Russell Sage, and several restaurants. Would stay here again.

  great spot for the wedding venue right across. run by what seems to be an afghani family/relatives which is nice. a literal crosswalk to the venue with good parking. the rooms were average (as any other hotel of this caliber), comfy, clean and carpeted. the temperature can get as cold as you desire for the two bed option. there's three floors in the building. at reception theres a nice lobby that also serves as their breakfast lobby. the bathroom had nice soap. the water pressure was good and gets hot, although i used it at 12 am. the breakfast (weekend runs from 7 am to 10 am i believe) options reminded me of my amazing college buffet dining hall (scrambled eggs, cubed cut home fried potatoes, pancake machine that puts out two pancakes in a minute, honey nut cheerios, cheerios, cinnamon toast crunch, three flavored water drinks, a nice creamy munchkin, mini muffins, yogurt machine, mixed tropical fruit station, bacon bits, sausage links, cheese toppings, bagels, toast, silk milk) the breakfast options were quite a lot. the gym is more than i expected with free weights up to 60 lbs and then one of those all in one gym machines with straight and rope handles, so i was shocked. there were 3 treadmills and a bicycle machine i think, i forgot because i was so impressed they had a versatile gym machine that pretty much no other hotel bothers to spend money on. there are towels to use too. if you check in early, it seems they make you hold 50$ to the company you purchased through (expedia in my case i believe). the only thing that was weak was the wifi which is the only reason i brought the service down a star. i would do half a star down if i could though. but i mean a picture would take it's time to load on instagram type of speed, which is not modern and we were in the second floor in the middle of the hallway. not sure why wifi was that bad there. forget uploading pictures into google photos with their wifi either otherwise on the laptop things seemed smooth enough for basic use. the password is a five digit number that comes with your room card. overall a great hotel

  Supremely disappointed with our stay. We drove three hours to Troy to see a show at the music hall and only stayed one night. We figured a BW would be fine- we weren’t looking for frills, just a clean place to sleep. Check-in was easy, and the front desk staff were great. We dropped our bags, quickly freshened up, and headed out. The hotel is conveniently located. We were able to walk to dinner and to the show, which was a plus. Fast forward to the next morning. We found blood on the comforter (ugh). Then shortly after as I was quickly packing up because… yuck, I noticed a pair of colored contact lenses on the floor between the bed and the nightstand. At that point, it was pretty clear the room had not been thoroughly cleaned before our stay. I called the front desk to let them know. They responded appropriately for the most part, although the manager did initially suggest that the contacts might be mine after noticing my partner’s contact solution and case in the bathroom. I assured her they weren’t. The contacts on the floor appeared to be black/colored, while his are clear/light blue, and he removes his contacts in the bathroom and puts them directly into their case. I appreciated the manager’s swift response and efforts to address the situation. Still, finding both blood on the bedding and someone else’s contact lenses next to the bed is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about how thoroughly rooms are cleaned and inspected between guests. I hope the hotel uses this as an opportunity to review its cleaning and room-inspection procedures. I don’t think I’ll stay here again, but if I did, I would absolutely inspect the room before bringing my bags in.

  It’s a best western. That tells you everything you need to know. It’s a bed that’s hopefully clean & a place to shower. Food sucks. Room humidity is at 1000000% at ALL times The ac sounds like a plane crashing
