  I had the same experience last week as the previous person who posted—but I waited 45 minutes, from 8:30-9:15 AM, and then gave up. I took my package to Staples a few blocks away instead, which opens at 9 AM and has a UPS drop-off point. While waiting all those minutes, I tried to call the store directly—no answer. I then called UPS customer service, who couldn’t help me but gave me the number of a corporate office. I texted them, and to their credit they called me back later that morning and told me they reached the store owner. He had “transit delays.” Fine, but how hard is it to update your voicemail to say this? Or call your boss so that customer service knows what to tell customers wondering why they need to stand outside a locked store for 45 minutes (or longer, who knows when or if he ever arrived)?

  Weekday store hours are listed as beginning at 8:30 AM. I went yesterday with multiple boxes to ship and stood in line until 8:56 AM, but the store still hadn't opened and I had to get to work. It's frustrating because this is a convenient location, and the service is usually quick once they're open. However, this isn't the first time I've arrived at the posted opening time only to find the store still closed. If your posted business hours say 8:30 AM, customers should be able to rely on that. They need to take people's time more seriously and either open on time or update their posted hours to reflect when the store is actually available.

  I've never waited in line and always get polite, efficient service at this UPS store.
