Great service.
The in-store experience was great, but the post-purchase service was disappointing. I bought a coat and had to have the sleeves hemmed, and delivered to me after. The hemming and shipping took longer than the initial timeline, but the SA did not communicate this to me at all. It felt like radio silence after I bought the coat, and both my email and text went unanswered. Then the hanger was left out of the initial shipment. It took four weeks and two reminders for the hanger to get to me - after each reminder, the SA conveniently said she had spent the last two weeks on leave or on sick leave. It was insane that even after the first reminder, the shipment of the hanger still fell through the cracks. ?!? I expected more from a luxury brand.

In terms of providing excellent customer service, Allen sets the bar exceptionally high at Max Mara's Madison Avenue location. He consistently provides great options tailored to my style and, best of all, he provides a no-pressure approach — he understands that significant purchases take time. Allen's commitment to Max Mara customers is also evident outside the store itself. Just recently, I texted him for advice on cleaning a coat in NYC. True to form, he replied instantly with helpful information. Max Mara is incredibly fortunate to have Allen on its front lines.
