  I packaged and shipped two items from the UPS store on Franklin Avenue in Garden City , New York. The employees worked diligently in getting my needs met in a timely fashion. I appreciated their diligence and team work. MEB

  Had a great experience at the Garden City UPS store. Dom helped me get the cards I needed for my business. I would highly recommend them for all your shipping needs everyone is very helpful and friendly in the store.

  Deceptive tactics! Make sure you ask for a receipt! I went to the store around 2:30 on 6/26. Shawn the manager helped me. I told him that I needed to purchase a box that would fit two books and two T-shirts, and that I needed to ship it to South Carolina. He gathered all of my information and told me that the shipping fee would be about $23, the box would be $3 dollars and the packing fee would be around $16. I kindly told him that I don’t need UPS to pack the items for me. I will buy the box and pack it myself and ship it out using UPS. He then proceeds to tell me that I cannot pack the items (4 items) in the store. He said take the box go outside, pack your items in your car and then you can come back inside. I was very confused because it was only two shirts and two children’s books and I purchased the box from UPS. I paid for the box which suddenly went from $3 to $6 and I went to the car packed the items (took a total of 30 seconds) and came back to the store. This time I was helped by another gentleman who told me that the box was pretty big and they could repack my items in a smaller box because the bigger box may affect the shipping cost. That is when I caught on to what Shawn was doing. Shawn sold me a bigger box to make up for the cost that he was losing when I declined to have UPS pack my items. I was sold a 12 x 18 box for two T-shirts and two children’s books. When I asked if there was a smaller box that I could purchase Shawn came over and said no this is the box that we have and shipping is going to be $23. At this point, there was a long line of customers and I paid the shipping fee and went about my day. The experience was very uncomfortable. It’s super disappointing to see how this store steals from local customers and forces customers to go outside if you don’t use their service. Definitely always ask for a receipt and take your time because they will steal from you.

  Avoid this location if you value communication and customer service. Saba took days to respond, delayed the shipment process unnecessarily, charged a surprisingly high amount for a very small package, and then became difficult to reach when issues came up. The entire experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and frustrating from start to finish.
