  So I've been to the store many times in the past 2 or 3 years end up until recently I don't have the name of the short gentleman with receding hairline wearing glasses is not in my eye a very personable employee. I bought a battery in May had to have it replaced in July now my car has a battery compartment underneath the front wheel well of the driver's side. So changing it is a hassle I go to the local garage to get them to do it for me. Apparently they sold me a battery that should have not been sold to me in my eyes that was sitting on the shelf since May of 25. But it was all they had and I was in a jam. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have purchased the battery. So when the battery died I went in the next day and I purchased the next step up / 3 year warranty. Paid cash for it but let me tell you it was very hard to get a refund on my return because apparently they don't keep enough cash in the building. Just recently bought a bunch of brakes all the way around my car. Calipers rotors brake pads. The last caliper that was put on was just returned. They actually had enough cash on hand which was $60. He handed me the cash and the receipt and I asked him do I need to hold on to this receipt. His reply was I don't care what you do with your receipt it's not mine. The only reason I come to the store is because it's just down the block. I assure you wholeheartedly I will never go to another advance Auto parts I don't care where I'm at. Sorry about the bad review advance Auto parts. All it takes is One bad Apple.

  I went to advance auto parts at 4 pm on Friday (today) my battery died in front of store. I was prepared to buy the most expensive platinum battery. There were 4 employees in store that I personally saw. Your ad says free installation which is why I went there. They said sorry, not enough employees on staff to help. They suggested that I call AAA. I had to wait an hour for help in my hot car. I went to East Moriches figuring shop local and what a mistake that decision was. WHAT AN INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING AND UPSETTING EXPERIENCE. I am a senior citizen which makes their actions even more upsetting to me. Just my opinion.
