Paul Allen's Ghost

I stopped in around 5:40 PM to ship a small bubble mailer after a nearby grocery pickup. On paper, the location is exceptionally convenient. In practice, it was less impressive.
The employee working alone at the counter, an older woman with long hair and glasses, appeared deeply inconvenienced by the concept of customer interaction. A greeting was technically provided, though enthusiasm was not. Throughout the transaction, her demeanor remained distant, dismissive, and remarkably consistent.
My request was uncomplicated. The atmosphere, however, suggested I had arrived unannounced at a private board meeting.
Afterward, I reviewed other customer feedback and noticed several accounts describing what appeared to be the same employee and a nearly identical experience. Consistency is important in business, though perhaps not in this particular area.
There are many shipping options available. Based on this visit, I intend to explore them.
