⭐ Negative Stars If I Could Give Them ⭐
I honestly don't know where to begin with how frustrating and disappointing my experience with FedEx has been. If negative stars were an option, that's exactly what I would give them.
The biggest issue isn't even the shipping itself—it's their absolutely terrible automated phone system. For a company of this size and reputation, I expected far better customer service. Instead, customers are forced to navigate one of the most useless AI systems I've ever encountered. No matter which option you choose, the result is always the same: you're either told that they can't help you, sent in circles through endless menus, or the call is simply disconnected altogether.
It's incredibly frustrating when you're trying to get assistance with a package, a delivery issue, or a simple question and the system seems designed to prevent you from ever reaching an actual human being. The AI doesn't understand the problem, doesn't provide solutions, and certainly doesn't make the customer experience any easier. In fact, it does the exact opposite.
FedEx operates on a global scale and generates billions in revenue. With all of those resources, you would think they could invest in a customer service system that actually works. Instead, customers are left wasting valuable time repeating information to a bot that can't help, only to end up disconnected or right back where they started.
What makes the situation even worse is that in many smaller communities, there aren't many alternatives. People are often forced to use FedEx because there simply aren't other shipping options available. When customers don't have a choice, the least a company can do is provide reliable support. Unfortunately, FedEx seems to have completely abandoned that concept.
Customer service should make solving problems easier, not create new ones. The current phone system is one of the most aggravating, inefficient, and poorly designed automated systems I've ever dealt with. It leaves customers feeling ignored, frustrated, and completely unsupported.
FedEx needs to take a serious look at its customer service infrastructure and either dramatically
improve its AI system or make it significantly easier for customers to reach a live representative. Until that happens, dealing with FedEx will continue to be an exercise in frustration.
Extremely disappointed.
