  I was heading back to Albuquerque after visiting mother in law in Silver City nursing home on March 29, 2025. My husband and I were hungry. I was going to get a sub at the Subway as well as husband. It was 9:32p. However the gentleman behind the counter was messing around on his phone while all the fixings were still in the case, and I just got the counter when he said that he had to be somewhere at 10p so they are closed. I was perturbed and asked myself if he truly has to be somewhere at 10 then why is he playing around on his cellphone and why is nothing put away. I left the Circle K still hungry, fed-up, and mad. I worked fast-food before and never turn away people over an excuse. I heard him telling two other potential customers the same thing within 8 minutes yet the whole 8 minutes he was on cellphone. All three of us told him sign says open until 10 yet he stood his ground how he had to be somewhere at 10 yet standing around lazily on cellphone which told me he was lying and didn't want to work
