First and foremost, it was 92°F outside, and as soon as I opened the door, I almost left. The heat inside the building was worse than outside. I ordered my food, and by the time there was meat and cheese on the bread, I was sweating. The person with me was worse off. A customer left while we ordered because of the heat, and even a doordasher complained in the 20 seconds they were in there. The thermostat was off, and the hallway to bathrooms was blocked by chairs.
Worse than all of this, the ice was out of order in the soda machine. They offered a solution: open-air ice bucket, that was one-quarter full of melt runoff, and a big spoon. They didn't seem to realize that the soda machine was pumping warm soda too, leading decreased carbonation, altered taste, and general displeasure.
Food was fine for Subway being what it is now. But to that note, I can understand that a foot-long isn't $5 anymore, but a foot-long with chips and a drink also isn't $23 dollars my dude.
